Twenty one years ago I gave birth to him on Good Friday and twenty one years later I am releasing him into the world. Talk about going full circle and hitting a mom right in the feels! Not to mention me meditating on the meaning of this Easter weekend...all I can say is I am an emotional mess while my heart is also so full. Life really does life doesn't it?

I am a bridesmaid in a wedding this fall, and we are doing all of the decorating ourselves. I have been recruited to do several DIYs and while it hasn't all been smooth sailing, I will say that I am enjoying the process more than I thought I would. What is it about making something with your own hands that is so satisfying? While taking breaks from all the craftiness as well as the usual busyness of the season, I have been able to sneak in some reading and have been enjoying some amazing reads.

As a child, I looked forward to summer so much, but the older I get, the more I appreciate each season for what it offers. With summer, I love all the sunshine, the easy breezy vibes, but what I love the most is all the books I am able to consume. 

The novel I am featuring today is from a series that I’ve already dipped into before, but true to form, I started midway through, but I was finally able to go back to the beginning and see how it all began.
