A devastating medical diagnosis ripped them apart. Can courage and love bring them back together?
Ellie knows heartbreak. Self-inflicted heartbreak. After she received a devastating medical diagnosis, she broke up with the love of her life, packed everything up, and moved to Paradise Springs. She told herself the move was because her brother needed help with his young daughter. But wasn’t she really running away?
Zander never understood the breakup with the love of his life. One day they were on the path to getting engaged, and the next day she was breaking up with him. What caused this abrupt change of heart?
When Zander moves to Paradise Springs, Ellie is finally forced to face her fears. Will they be able to pick back up where they left off, or will the challenges imposed by her medical condition be too much to overcome?
Fans of Christian romance will enjoy this powerful faith-based story about how courage and love can overcome even life’s most challenging obstacles.

Leah always has a way of touching my heart, both in her personal sentiments and her stories, and The Courage for Love hit incredibly close to home for me. In the dedication Leah wishes that “this story uplift your heart,” and, “inspire you to have courage.” For me, I indeed felt uplifted, and cherished this sweet escape from my own painful reality.
The slight hint of mystery that surrounded the reason why Ellie broke up with the seemingly perfect Zander added just the right amount of tension, and was a fact that continued to nag as the story progressed, until the truth was made known. At first, I was with Zander, feeling like Ellie was unfair in not telling her reasoning behind the breakup, but once the truth is revealed, I immediately sided with this poor girl that has the world on her shoulders.
What Ellie is experiencing, a condition I won’t reveal as to help keep the mystery for those who haven’t read the book yet, is something I too have had to deal with, so I found a kindred spirit in this character. Reading about her ailment and the challenges hit so close to home for me, and I know it will others as well.
Zander is the epitome of perfection in his willingness to never give up on Ellie, and to be her strength during this difficult season, and I admire that so much, as my support from my significant other is not always so steadfast. Still, it gave me hope and made me so happy for Ellie, their relationship giving me all the feels.
This is the final book in the Potter’s House Book (Three) for Leah Busboom, and what an admirable ending. I have immensely enjoyed this series and I was not ready for it to end! Though The Courage for Love is a part of this series, you can read this as a standalone, but I cannot recommend the full series enough.
