My Review

One of my favorite May 2025 reads, Meet Me at the Grand is the perfect introduction to Jonathan Island! What first caught my attention was the adorable cover, and a few pages in was all it took, and I was hooked. I enjoyed this novel so much!

There is something charming and engaging about this novel. A young woman loves her hometown and wants to bring her family and her small island town back to like it used to be. An ambitious man is striving for success, craving to take over the family business, and sacrificing everything to see his dream come to fruition. Fate brings these two driven individuals together in a huge project that is both high risk but also high reward for both of them if they can pull it off.

Listening to all the ideas about how Liam and Dani could merge the past and present and create something unique at The Grand was wonderful to read. I always enjoy uncovering the details behind remodels and décor, whether fiction or otherwise, so this part was a treat. My only complaint about this novel was Dani’s closed-mindedness. I understand her motivations, but the stubbornness was grating, to say the least, but that was a character flaw that highlights good writing.

It’s clear that Jonathan Island is a community that already has my heart, and I know that the love is going to continue to grow with each installment. This series has already become an instant favorite, and I can’t wait to read the next book!
