Book Review of 'Ambush on the Ranch' by Tina Wheeler

I decided to take the last few weeks of December off to enjoy time with my family and I'd be lying if I said it was easy getting into the swing of things for 2025.  I have mixed feelings when it comes to beginning a new year.  I'm not one for resolutions but more of a 'Word of the Year' kind of gal, but this year I'm even struggling with that!  2024 was such a whirlwind and so many things, both good and bad, happened that I'm still grappling with it all.

One thing I know for sure is that 2025 is going to be an amazing year in the literary world. My calendar is already jam-packed for the next few months, and I am so excited to share some incredible reads with all of you.

My Review

Suspense from the first sentence had me glued to the pages, wondering what has Janel running for her life.  I would soon realize that the attacks are relentless as we see Zach and Janel go through it!  Janel not being able to recall what has triggered this manhunt keeps the mystery high while the relentless pursuit of the bad guys keeps the suspense amped up to one hundred.

Like all the Love Inspired Suspense, there is plenty of clean suspense, drama, and danger that almost seems nonstop, creating a whirlwind of action that perfectly commingles with these well-developed characters.  The scenes with the Walker family were some of my favorites and really helped bridge the gap between relationships and the danger that lurks.

This was a nice, suspenseful escape that keeps you on the edge of your seat while also giving an inspirational message, something that I always appreciate.  If you’re looking for a nice mystery that is chalk-full of suspense and heart, then I know you’ll enjoy Ambush on the Ranch.
