I have been a fan of the Love and Danger in St. Claire series for awhile and am so excited to be sharing my thoughts on the fourth book in the series today! If you haven't heard of this series before then you are in for a treat, and I'm not just talking about the incredible eye candy that are these book covers! Yum!!!

The locals wanted someone else for the Deputy Sheriff position, but Erin Kaminski knows in her heart that St. Claire is where she’s meant to be. And finally, just as she becomes a familiar face to the locals, the FBI and US Marshals show up, making trouble. She wants them to do their job and leave, and so she becomes their local liaison. But when someone turns up dead, she wants to be the one calling the investigative shots. Instead, she’s partnered with the admittedly charming, but overly skeptical, marshal who thinks her faith is nothing but fantasy. With Perry’s constant questions and distracting lure, she needs to keep her head clear enough to see the danger creeping her way—or she’ll end up losing everything.

My Review

The Love and Danger in St. Claire series has been quite the ride and Frittered Moments is another installment in this wonderful series. I love every chance I get to be back in St. Claire!

Frittered Moments is from the law enforcement’s perspective, which is a point-of-view that I really enjoyed seeing, as the rest of this series has focused on various people in St. Claire that are tied to or have been affected by the elusive criminal, The Snitch, Laney Hicks. There is a major twist in this novel that I hadn’t expected and really adds an interesting facet that made the novel, and the whole series, all the more compelling.

The suspense and action are pretty intense and keeps you on your toes as you follow the investigation with Perry and Erin, two characters that are outsiders the idyllic town but a perfect fit for St. Claire, and for one another. I adored how well they complement one another, and I really enjoyed seeing all of the characters of St. Claire making appearances throughout the novel. I love how the faith aspect is interwoven, the romance doesn’t feel forced, and how the overall flow keeps you turning the pages.

This is a great, clean suspense with endearing characters, an interesting plot, and faith that ties it all together. Though this can be read as a standalone, I highly recommend reading this series in order to get the full impact.
