I'm not sure who designed the cover of the novel I am featuring today but they must've been thinking of me in particularly because this is my all-time favorite color combo! If you were to see photos of my house it is literally decorated almost entirely in this color combo. Gak!!! Guess what book will be taking center stage on my bookshelf for a long time?? :)

My Review

I’m not one for reading the synopsis of a book and typically let the cover and title tease me with possibilities of plot. I should’ve known when looking at this insanely adorable and perfectly hued cover that I was going to be in for some drama of cinematic proportions, but I didn’t clock that until I read the first few chapters. Talk about baggage! When a lover gets snubbed, and the offender comes back into their lives it’s bound to get a little messy.

What first endeared me to Charlie and Nicole is the fire that is clearly smoldering between the two of them despite their complicated history, and how easily relatable they both are. Charlie is certain they are meant to be together, something that always feeds my swoony heart, and Nicole is trying to survive, focus on her career, and not get hurt again. Valid. They are both hard-working and passionate about what they do, and faith is something that is important to them both, which is endearing and commendable.

I love the snarkiness we get from Nicole and the chill, laidback vibe that emanates from Charlie. On the surface, it seems like these two are the polar opposites but what is deep in their hearts is perfectly paired. As they work on Charlie’s marketing campaign for his most recent documentary the past intertwines with the present and has them both thinking about the future. It’s beautiful to see.

From the moment I set my eyes on this insanely wonderful cover I just knew this novel was going to speak to me, and I was correct! Fiancé Finale is so much more than a romance and will blow you away with its many layers that hit all the right notes. The characters are lovely and real, the setting captures the imagination, and it truly felt like the perfect read! I love it!!
