Hello Bookworms!
I don't know if anyone knows this about me but I hate cooking. In my dream world I would have all of my meals cooked for me professionally and delivered to my doorstep. When I do feel the urge to cook it's normally to bake some sugary confection like cupcakes or brownies. To me, baking has an element of fun and adventure that is not felt when cooking but even then, baking is a rare occurrence for me. So, when it comes down to it, kitchens and I don’t exactly get along. That’s why I’d rather read about cooking and baking than actually try it myself!
I hope you enjoy my thoughts on this delicious Inspirational Romance and don’t forget to scroll to the bottom of this post and enter the amazing giveaway from JustRead Tours.

What a delicious escape if I do say so myself. I’ve been craving peach pie since reading this charming tale, and after you read it for yourself, you’ll see why.
The winds of change are blowing in the small town of Lagrasse when a new pastry chef takes over not only the local bakery but also the new role of single father. The owner of the local herbal shop across the street isn’t too happy at the news as she’s already started making plans for her own tearoom and treats next door, having previously assumed the bakery would be closing. Can two confectionaries coexist?
This story has a sweet Hallmark charm from the start, but it’s clear that it’s not smooth sailing for our main characters. Patrick is not only taking over a business but also learning to single-parent a preteen and an infant, which includes unique challenges all their own. These are the kind of characters that you can easily root for. Tam clearly has a good heart, but when it comes to business, she’s more on the stubborn side, which is understandable when you find out she’s a single mom herself. But she is stubborn in business, understandable given her single motherhood. The struggles of balancing work and family are clearly portrayed while also showing the importance of having a strong support system and the power of community.
The climax was a bit of a surprise, which was nice, and the ending was just as sweet as Patrick’s infamous peach pie! I loved it!! When you read a Love Inspired novel, you have to suspend reality just a bit, but with this novel, it’s so worth it. I love all the warm, fuzzy feelings that I got while reading, and it was such an enjoyable experience, and the flow so perfect, that it felt like I read this novel in mere minutes.
