My Review

As soon as I finished The Resurrection Project, I immediately started reading Rescuing the Remnant. Though the dystopian futuristic genre is not something I would normally gravitate towards after reading the first book and being blown away by such an amazing story, I hoped the second book in the series would live up to its predecessor, and it does.

This novel picks up right where we left off in the first installment, so I would highly suggest reading the first novel as it really helps set the stage. This story is just as amazing with thought-provoking and inspiring substance. The scene with the kaleidoscope is such a stunning representation of faith that as I was reading I had to pause, put down the book, close my eyes, and bask in the revelation. Talk about an incredibly compelling visual.

The battle of good vs. evil is so powerful that the author’s pen has you physically feeling the struggle as the story unfolds. I had hoped for a tad more suspense than what was provided, but other than that Rescuing the Remnant is a satisfying ending to a very crazy and terrifying story.  I can’t imagine something like this happening.  Utterly extraordinary!

My Rating: ★★★★★
