My Review

I have been impatiently awaiting the arrival of Perfect Matched, and I was ecstatic to read it!  Having already read the first two books in the series I found myself quite emotional while reading.  I’m not sure if it was because of being so vested in this story by book three, and seeing everything that Nicki, Ben, and Lei Ming have had to endure thus far, or the heavy subject matter that is presented in this story, but I was feeling all the feels!

This novel is definitely a page-turner with shocking twists I would’ve never imagined.  There is pretty heavy plot line that I wasn’t expecting, and one that left me speechless.  The fact that what happens to Lei Ming in the story has happened to many Chinese children is unimaginable and added such a deep layer to a narrative that was already emotional enough.  I devoured this book in one sitting, having to know what happens to Ben, Nicki, and Lei Ming and I was so relieved that there was a happy ending.  I don’t think my heart could’ve handled anything less.

I have fallen head over heels in love with this series, and love each novel in their own right, but this one has my heart like no other.  It’s so hard not to give spoilers, as I want to gush about all the things, but I will reserve that for you, the reader, to experience for yourself.  This is a must read and, if you want the full power that comes with this novel, I would highly recommend reading this series in order.  Trust me, you won’t regret it.
