When a novel starts out with a family tree, and the series is actually called Bryant Family, it's easy to see what the focus is going to be on: family. Family is very important to me, and I am one of those readers that becomes vested in my books, making the characters feel like family to me, so from the get-go I loved this vibe of With You I Am.
For me, the novel had a very slow start, and it took me awhile to get into the story, but once I did I was charmed by this heartwarming family. I truly felt like I was there with them throughout the story. From the sweet romance, to the giving back to the community, it wasn't hard to fall in love with the Bryant family.
I did feel like the book was a tad too long, but I can also understand with this being the first book in a new series the author wants to spend the time to lay a firm foundation. I enjoyed the dialogue and banter between the characters, especially Wynn and Noelle. These two characters are so sweet together, and I love seeing their relationship blossom while getting to know the whole family.
A charming, character-driven story full of faith, family, and heart
With You I Am is a wonderful start to a great new series! It's a slow burn, but if you stick with it you will not be disappointed. I cannot wait to see what awaits the Bryant family!
