Two souls don’t find each other by simple accident. ~Jorge Luis Borges~

Levi thought he was making this journey alone. But when he meets an eight-year-old girl at the train station, that plan is turned on its head.

Casey is running away and finds out that Levi is too. They decide to journey together and their lives are suddenly bound together in a journey they will not soon forget.

Both children come from abusive situations and are running from the dangers of their previous life. Levi is confident he can handle this on his own, but when Casey is injured on the journey, he must seek help from the first person that comes into his path, or rather people. Mr. and Mrs. Bellworth are simple farm folk with a heart for kids and a passion for serving God. When their unconditional love and gentle care surrounds Levi and Casey, the troubles of their previous lives melt away and they start to flourish. But when Casey is dragged back into the abusive world she came from, the emotional trauma, pain and distrust resurfaces. Will they be forever bound by their past? Or will God answer their prayers?

My Review ❤️
What a refreshingly different story!  I feel like lately I have been reading the same old troupes in the contemporary fiction category, but Bound shows that it is set apart from the very beginning.

Told from the perspectives of two young children, Levi (14) and Casey (8), who are two strangers that are bound together in their fight to be free from abusive homes.  Their instant bond when they each find themselves alone at a train station after running away from their perspective homes, is truly a beauty to behold, each a beacon of light and hope for the other during an incredibly frightening time.  Levi has such an instantaneous protective, patient, and understanding spirit towards Casey, which absolutely melted my heart.

Hearing what both children had to endure in their homes is horrifying, making my blood boil, and my heart ache, knowing that sadly there are children out there right now that are living this reality.

Bound is captivating in its beauty and redemption amid unthinkable strife, showing grace and mercy through people perfectly placed in Levi and Casey's lives, and showing the true power of prayer.

I cannot rave about this novel enough!  Well written, with a perfect flow, vivid imagery, and characters that take center stage, you can't ask for more!  I devoured this book within a few hours and put it down with my heart sighing, knowing that no matter the situation, there is always hope.

My Rating: ★★★★★
