My Review

A Journey to Unshakable Faith is a tale of good versus evil and relying on your faith when your situation seems impossible. There are multiple narrators throughout, but the main story is seen through the eyes of Princess Esther and her friend, Reia. I wasn’t really a fan of the constant narrator change the deeper you get into the story, but what these different perspectives provide is more insight into different facets of this tumultuous time.

This novel has a simple premise that has tremendous heart, and there is an overall innocence that is felt as you read Esther’s journey. A rich tapestry of faith unfolds through the eyes of different characters. I really liked how the Bible is continuously quoted throughout the novel, seeing the characters’ spiritual sides and how they pray and gather strength from the Scriptures. A few of them were a balm to my own aching soul.

The final battle was pretty epic, and the story teaches what can happen when you rely on God’s strength and put your faith in Him alone, which is always inspiring. Overall, this was a quick and enjoyable read that inspired me and felt like a call to a faith that is unshakable.
