My Review 🖤

I have been on a weight loss journey for a few years now and sadly I am currently stalled.  What does one do when what has been working is no longer working?  You search for other avenues, which has led me to keto.  While keto didn't work for me due to other medical conditions that prevented me from benefiting from the low carb lifestyle, I did find some valuable resources that can still aid in my weight loss endeavors while not adopting the entire keto lifestyle as a whole, which breaking me to The Dirty, Lazy Keto series.

Stephanie Laska, one of the authors of this series, has always struggled with weight herself, which instantly made The Dirty, Lazy Keto No Time to Cook Cookbook relatable.  Stephanie understands my struggles, which connected me, making me want to do something I normally hate to do: cook.

Each recipe in this book can be made in thirty minutes or less, which definitely speaks to those of us that do not have a passion for the kitchen, and makes the recipes not feel as overwhelming as other recipes do.  The names of each recipe are adorable, and the shortcuts for food prep, as well as the actual execution, were extremely helpful.

Above all, I loved that it's all so simple and laid out for you!  Plus, it is repeated multiple times that you are to start where you are, go at your own pace, and modify the plan to make it your own.  I love that it's not your typical cookie cutter recipe book and shows beginners like myself how to set up a good workstation, and even easy cleaning tips that come in handy, and are easily adoptable.

I've tried a few of the breakfast recipes and so far they've been easy and delicious! I have shied away from the ones with ingredients I do not have on hand, but do have a list of the recipes I want to try in the future.  I haven't read too many other keto recipe books, so I do not have much of a basis for comparison, but I think The Dirty, Lazy Keto No Time to Cook Cookbook is a great addition to your keto arsenal.

About the Author

USA Today Bestselling Author! As seen on NBC’s The TODAY Show - Stephanie Laska lost 140 pounds, roughly half of her body weight, by following her own outlaw version of a ketogenic diet. She figured out that the secret to losing weight without the crazy restrictions of a traditional keto diet was to break the rules and create her own “dirty” and “lazy” outlaw version of keto.

With over 10,000 positive reviews on Goodreads, readers agree. DIRTY, LAZY, KETO is a refreshing alternative to strict dieting. Losing weight shouldn’t be so complicated.

Stephanie spent most of her adult life in the Morbidly Obese Class III BMI category. Hovering close to 300 pounds, she avoided booths at restaurants and feared not fitting into amusement park rides. “I once put my jacket over my lap so the flight attendant wouldn’t see that my seatbelt wouldn’t close,” she admits.

Desperation and embarrassment motivated Stephanie to stop living in denial about her obesity. The DIRTY, LAZY, KETO books explain the unique keto diet Stephanie followed to achieve her amazing weight loss success. Using humor and simple explanations, Stephanie walks the reader through her personal manifesto for effective weight loss and maintenance. Her way is doable. Nothing fancy is required! (Especially not complicated math.)

Stephanie has kept off a 140 pounds weight loss for almost a decade and believes DIRTY, LAZY, KETO is a practical solution for everyone. We all know losing weight isn’t as simple as “cutting carbs”. It takes so much more, and Stephanie is here to help you get started with cookbooks and a guidebook for all things DIRTY, LAZY, KETO.
