My Review 💙
When I think about Lost and Found Faith I actually smile. I was truly taken with this book, and one of the biggest reasons for me was how much I could identify with the characters.
I think we all can identify with Neil Hamilton. He is a character that has went through an unbelievable tragedy and in his grief has lost sight of what matters in life and has pretty much imploded, and is just going through the motions. Talk about identifiable! I instantly felt the connection with Neil and his plight, my heart going out to the scatterbrained teacher.
Maggie Byrne is another character that is easy to fall in love with. She has overcome so much, resulting in a heart of gold, and continues to give all of herself to help others. I admire this character so much, and seeing her and Neil's chemistry and their bonding through an adorable and unlikely source, was so engaging.
Every time there is a child in a story I am almost always taken by the charming and delightful playfulness that they add to the story, and Oliver is no exception. My affection goes even deeper knowing what all this sweet little boy has been through, and love that we get to see not only the growth of Maggie and Neil's character, but also Oliver's as well.
Beautifully written, with the perfect flow and pace, Lost and Found Faith is truly an inspirational read that left me smiling, that warm and fuzzy feeling in my mind and heart. I also left with a strong craving for baked goods. ;)
