About the Book
Title: Operation Find a Guy
Series: Roadtrip Romance #3
Author: Amy Anguish
Publisher: Scrivenings Press
Release Date: June 13, 2023
Genre: Contemporary Christian Romance
Skye Jones has one goal for the summer—keep her father from taking away her convertible. That’s the only reason she’s agreed to work at her sister’s bridal shop in Boulder, Colorado. It will buy her some time to figure out if there’s a non-boring job out there. Why else would she have anything to do with weddings when she has no interest in marriage?
Benjamin Smith can’t quite figure out how he ended up a groomsman in two different weddings over the summer, but with his sister and a cousin both getting married, he’s spending a lot of time at Happily Ever After events. Falling for a blonde with no dreams of settling down wasn’t in his five-year plan, but the more he sees Skye, the more he wants to figure her out. But all she sees him as is a boring attorney and her complete opposite.
Romance was supposed to be for Skye’s friends. But Colorado might hold more than she knew she was looking for.

At the beginning of the story, Skye’s attitude was so off-putting to me that I debated on continuing to read the novel! She is rude, snarky, and self-centered to poor Benjamin, but when he sees past all of these attributes and gives her a chance I figured I should too. I’m so glad I did.
Skye is “flirting with life” and not wanting to settle down, and even though her and Benjamin are complete opposites they also compliment one another perfectly. Their chemistry is palpable, and seeing them together just made me happy. I loved seeing redemption for Skye and getting to know some of her motivations for being the way she is, as well as the strength that Benjamin shows Skye, not willing to back down to her self-preserving tactics.
This is a Christian Fiction, so faith place a big part of the novel, the plot is very true to life, and there is a lot more depth to the story than what you’d think based on first glance. This is the first novel I’ve read in the Roadtrip Romance series, and now I’m curious about the rest of the series! I also have to say that Amy Anguish has found herself a new fan! :)

About the Author
Amy R Anguish grew up a preacher’s kid, and in spite of having lived in seven different states that are all south of the Mason Dixon line, she is not a football fan. Currently, she resides in Tennessee with her husband, daughter, and son, and usually a bossy cat or two. Amy has an English degree from Freed-Hardeman University that she intends to use to glorify God, and she wants her stories to show that while Christians face real struggles, it can still work out for good.
