ABOUT THE BOOK
Nothing will be merry about Steve Weston’s Christmas if he doesn’t find a nanny for his newborn nephew fast. But the best choice is Chloe Richardson, the woman he pushed away years ago. He has a second chance at making the season’s joy last for a lifetime—unless he allows old wounds to separate them once more…

MY REVIEW
This was such a cute and sweet story! Two people that are fighting to pursue their dreams, but circumstances, and putting the needs of others ahead of themselves, is causing them both to fight an uphill battle. At least they have one another to lean on during the struggle!
You can immediately feel the admiration that Steve and Chloe have for one another. Pair that adoration with their affection of baby Aiden and it’s obvious these three were meant to be a family. All the baby talk is soothing to a woman who has been having some serious baby fever. Though I can’t have any more children of my own I am eagerly awaiting grandchildren, and reading all things baby has put fuel on the flame!
It’s obvious Steve and Chloe both have hearts of gold, but I think they were focused on the wrong things, not wanting to admit their true hearts desires for fear of getting hurt. The need of forgiveness is strong in Steve’s heart, though stubbornness keeps him blind to his needs. He is so fearful of seeming weak, not realizing that there is strength in asking for help. It’s something I too struggle with, so I really felt that connection with Steve. The part with him and his father was truly touching and honestly my favorite part of the entire novel. I felt truly touched by this scene.
I also admired Chloe’s focus. I too have put my dreams on hold for the dreams and needs of others, and I see the same hunger that I have to pursue the passions of my heart in Chloe, to which I have much respect.
The ending was so full of love and happy endings that it was practically bursting at the seams and left me smiling. I enjoyed this sweet escape so much!
