Are you ready? Bon voyage!
Today is my mom’s 60th birthday and to celebrate I thought I would take a trip back in time to see how the world was when she came into it by Time Traveling to 1962.
The 1960’s is one of the most fascinating decades in the 20th century, and one that I immerse myself in often. There were so many things going on in the world at that time, and the deeper I dive the more I discover.
What first caught my attention with this book is all the photos! Many of them I have seen before, but didn’t mind seeing again, but there were a few I’ve never seen before, which was exciting. The aesthetic is very well done and the overall vibe is great, but I found multiple things lacking.
I feel like this would’ve been a better resource if some of the topics would have been written more about, especially the entertainment section. There were so many television shows and movies that I did not recognize and would’ve loved to learn more about them but instead I got a title and little to no explanations. There were a few topics expounded on, but everything is what everyone knows about the 1960’s.
I finished the entire book in a matter of minutes and concluded that Time Traveling to 1962 is nothing more than a quick reference but it was nice to go back to one of my favorite eras and think about what the world was like when my mom entered it. Happy birthday Mom!
