MY REVIEW

What a sweet collection!  I have really enjoyed the Blueberry Point series thus far, and the Blueberry Point Romance Collection is the perfect addition.  Four novellas that are centered around the Blueberry Point Lodge, bringing back some familiar faces and introducing me to characters that are new to me.

Lilac Crush, the first story of the collection, was not a favorite of mine at all, which was quite the disappointment.  I found myself struggling to connect with the two main characters, especially Grace, and honestly didn’t feel vested in their story at all.  I was afraid this was going to set the tone for the rest of the collection, but luckily each story got better and better.

Love, Lies and Fireflies has been on my TBR for awhile, and I am so thankful that I was finally able to read it!  Trey and Farra are adorable together and I enjoyed each of their unique character traits and overall storyline.  I could’ve seen their story being a full-length novel honestly, but am thankful that they had a story nonetheless.

Promise Me October was hands down my favorite novella of the collection.  I fell in love with goofball Bret and his many proposals and sweet but klutzy Kiley.  I appreciated the more lighthearted vibe and the electrifying chemistry between Bret and Kiley.  The ending was left pretty open ended and has me hoping we will see these two in a future novel.

Her North Shore Christmas was the perfect sprinkle of Christmas cheer, though Trec and Lucy’s story was about as predictable as leaving out cookies and milk for Santa.  I felt like their love story was more on the bland side, but sweet nonetheless, and actually liked Amelia, Trec’s assistant, more than I did Trec and Lucy!  I did feel like their story ended quite abruptly, and wish there would’ve been a quick epilogue to finish out the story strong.

Overall, the Blueberry Point Romance Collection was a quick read that made Blueberry Point all the more sweet in my mind.  Not too much drama, but quite a bit of love and lots of feel good vibes.
