My Review 💙

I wish I would've had the opportunity to read the first two books in this series before delving into Starstruck in Willow Falls. Though the author does a decent job of making this a standalone, and filling in gaps to get the reader caught up, I feel like I would've connected with the characters and situations better had I read the first two novels.

That being said, I rather enjoyed my time in Willow Falls! It's a crazy busy season for multiple characters in the town, so at first it took a minute to get my bearings, and figure out who is who, but once I was grounded I was absolutely smitten, and caught up in the whirlwind of activity and emotion.

Twins Rachel and Emily both are in an interesting and exciting season in their lives. Rachel is an actress and is planning a wedding with the man of her dreams, and her twin Emily has just had her debut novel published. Suddenly there is a movie that is being filmed in the small town and is taking the town, and it's quirky residents, by storm. Not only do the residents have to adjust to a movie crew being in town, the crew has to adjust to the residents, making for some interesting situations, to say the least.

I felt so bad for the immense pressure that everyone was under, given the unique circumstances they found themselves in, but loved how everything played out. There is humor and quite a few surprises sprinkled throughout, which I enjoyed, and the ending was hands-down my favorite part.

Though quirky, and a little far-fetched, I still enjoyed Starstruck in Willow Falls. This little town definitely has my heart, and has a Hallmark-esque feel, which I am always charmed by. I admire the unity in this town (I'm a city gal but I've always admired the charming small town life), and I plan to go back and read the first two books, so I can get a deeper backstory and understanding. If they're anything like this novel, I know I am in for a treat!
