Merry Christmas Week!

I am so incredibly happy that you're here with me today and happy Christmas week! I wanted to do something special this week leading up to the big day, and while I have been reading some amazing holiday reads, I thought I would mix things up and feature different books from one series each day leading up to Christmas! The Ginnie West Adventures is a series I haven't had the opportunity to read in a while, and I was so excited to jump back in and get caught up on the West family.

If you'd like to read my reviews for the first four books in the series you can find them HERE. Enjoy!

My Review

Chase Your Dreams West picks up a month after the fourth book ends, and it’s amazing how all of the details from the previous books in the series came rushing back. I realized quickly just how much I missed being part of this literary world. If you haven’t read the previous books in the series, I highly recommend reading them first, as the connection to the characters makes the subsequent novels all the sweeter, but you can also read this as a standalone.

As with the other books in the series, I felt like I was, again, part of the family. I love the innocence of this series and how the authors are able to tackle tougher subject matter with grace and wisdom while also shining a light on these important issues. It’s so well done and with such heart. Life and people are not perfect, and this story shows that people can make changes for the better if they’re willing to work on themselves. It also shows the power of grace and that time can heal wounds, but that it’s often a long road to get there.

There were moments that felt a little off-pace and dragged the story down, but then there were scenes that were so cute that helped pick the pace back up. Uncle Jake and the pranking were some of those moments that were entertaining and really helped keep things interesting and humorous. The ending also had a surprise that I did not see coming, which was an extra special treat. I’ve already started the next book in the series to see what happens to the wacky and wonderful West family.

My Rating: ★★★★1/2
