Happy Wednesday Bookworms!
Reading through the Timeless Regency Collection in its entirety is one of my goals and today I am featuring the latest release! I hope you enjoy my thoughts and let me know in the comments if you've read any of the instalments from this seris and if so which one. If I had to choose I'd have to say To Kiss a Wallflower is my favorite but Beyond Pemberley is a very close second.

Dear Reader, have you ever wondered what happened after Pemberley?
Playing Miss Bennet by Rebecca Anderson
Twenty-year-old Kitty Bennet, visiting London for a season as a companion to Mrs. Gordon, is simultaneously attracted and repelled by a flirty rake. How would a girl like Kitty respond to his roughish behavior? Impossible to tell when she doesn't even understand herself. She must use their time together to practice being someone else. She's sure when she decides which of her sisters' personalities is the best fit, she'll know both who she is and what she wants. Of course, what she wants couldn't possibly be Augustus Haverford. Not with that wicked smile and that tendency to say scandalous things. Can Kitty convince herself he's all wrong for her? Or does fate have something altogether more romantic in mind?
Sisters and Second Chances by Samantha Hastings
Sixteen years since her own elopement, widow Lydia Wickham saves a young woman from running away with a scoundrel. In gratitude the father, Viscount Kingston, offers Lydia a position as chaperone. Childless and estranged from her sisters, Lydia eagerly accepts. Little did Lord Kingston or his daughter the honorable Chloe know how Lydia would shake up their dull, scholarly existence and turn their trio into a family.
The Colonel's Conviction by Sarah L. McConkie
Shrouded by his military facade and careful in love as the younger son of an Earl, Colonel Fitzwilliam has yet to find his soulmate. When he's tasked to watch over Georgiana Darcy and her new companion—a striking young widow named Clara—he's instantly drawn in, even if he did make a muck of their first meeting. But Clara has a difficult past and a complicated future, and it will be up to the Colonel to show her that no matter how insurmountable the obstacles, hearts can open...if she's willing to take a chance on him.

I adore this series so much! The novellas have a wonderful flow, are easy to jump in and out of, which makes them ideal for beach reading, and are full of charismatic characters, picturesque scenery, and love at every turn. Beyond Pemberley is no exception.
The trio starts out with Playing Miss Bennet by Rebecca Anderson, a sweet story that shows playacting can sometimes lead to self-discovery. All the world is a stage, and both of our ‘players’ in this novel play parts that they believe will benefit their individual missions, but all it does is hide the truth. I adored the banter between Augustus and Kitty, especially their first meet-cute, but honestly, anytime they’re together, it is a literary treat. It hurt my heart that Kitty didn’t have enough confidence to be her true self with Augustus, but I could see so much of my own story mirrored in theirs, which was truly touching.
Sisters and Second Chances by Samantha Hastings was my favorite of the three. This novel felt like an utter whirlwind, not only in pace but as a reader. I feel like the story had barely begun when it reached its end, and I was so sad that it was over. Everything about it was perfection. A heroine that’s easy to get behind, a gentleman who knows how to make a girl feel seen, and the daughter with all the charm and excitement of youth. I was so sad to see it end so quickly!
We end this collection with The Colonel’s Conviction by Sarah L. McConkie. While it took a minute to warm up to, I was charmed by both Benj and Clara and their unique love story. It’s refreshing when you see a messy love-match such as theirs that starts out with one of the most disgusting meet-cutes I’ve read in a long time. The wit in this novella was so charming, and the ending was simply the best, as it’s clear these two are perfect for each other.
I adore this series so much and love that I had the opportunity to read another installment.

About the Authors
Rebecca Anderson is also Becca Wilhite, who loves hiking, Broadway shows, rainstorms, food, books, and movies. She lives in the mountains and adores the ocean, and dreams of travel but loves staying home. Happiness is dabbling in lots of creative activities, afternoon naps, and cheese. All the cheese.
Samantha Hastings met her husband in a turkey sandwich line. They live in Salt Lake City, Utah, where she spends most of her time reading, eating popcorn, having tea parties, and chasing her four kids. She has degrees from Brigham Young University, University of North Texas, and University of Reading (UK). She writes cozy murder mysteries under Samantha Larsen.
Sarah L. McConkie started her writing career in the second grade with a thirteen-page magnum opus about dinosaurs. Although the plotline and penmanship lacked polish, Sarah learned she loved retiring to bed thinking of stories. On a good night, she still does the same thing. She took up the pen several years later after tucking her own little dreamer into bed and now combines modern-life experiences, a robust knowledge of historical hallmarks, and a passion for all things old-fashioned and proper to craft her historical romances. She co-stars with her own Mr. Right in the real-life romantic comedy she calls life as they raise their five darling children. Sarah believes creating thought-provoking and moral stories promotes literacy in a world that needs more readers. Sarah is a best-selling author and her work has earned both the Swoony Award and the LDSPMA Praiseworthy Award.
