A mission to capture the world's most wanted terrorist. A computer tech sent in undercover. And a woman with a secret that could change everything.

My Review 🖤

Man!  Just when you think the Griffin Force is closing in, and finally able to capture the most hated terrorist in history, there are more surprises around the corner, leaving me both frustrated, yet excited that there just might be more to this series in the future!  The members of the Griffin Force have become like family to me, I love that Augie, the lovable computer tech of the Force, gets to shine in this novel, and that we get to welcome another member to the team!

Rian is a welcome addition to this tactical read with her smarts and incredible bravery, and her and Augie make a perfect team, their chemistry electric from the first meeting.  Seeing Augie out in the field was a refreshing sight and getting to know his character on a deeper level is a joy.  He has always been one of my favorite characters throughout this series and, in my opinion, it was time for him to get the spotlight.

Like the other books in the series, Second Chance is full of tactical intrigue, action, suspense, and a touch of romance with a lot of heart.  The character depth is spot on, and though it can be read as a standalone, as Julie does a masterful job of keeping the reader caught up with the main storyline, I think reading the series as a whole gives you a better grasp, and you get the full affect.

It truly is one of my favorite series at the moment and since Second Chance ends on a major cliffhanger I will be impatiently waiting to hear if there will indeed be another book in this incredible series.

My Rating: ★★★★★
